Heavy rains cause flooding in Elsberry
ELSBERRY - One would expect that with four to six inches of rain in approximately 10 hours some flooding may occur. That it did in the Elsberry community on Sunday night when a thunderstorm moved through the area.

The 64th annual Lincoln County Fair concluded this past week with Elsberry FFA and Elsberry Rockin’ River 4H members excelling in their passion of either showing animals or creating exhibits bringing home ribbon after ribbon. The kids work for months getting their entries ready.
County sex offender list boasts 98.5% compliance
TROY - For Craig Cross, the details of his job are significant and the weight of it is enormous, something he takes very seriously, all for the sake of safety. As the Lincoln County Sex Offender Registrar, he is responsible for helping facilitate sex offender registrations in the county.In fact, Cross says the sex offender registry in Lincoln County “works well” and The Sex Offender Compliance Unit “expertly manages 200-plus offenders and has a 98.5 compliancy rate.” In part, that is due to effective communication with other counties and tipsters within the Lincoln County community.
