ELSBERRY - New Hope Masonic Lodge #199 in Elsberry has been a staple in the area since 1860. Originally the lodge was chartered on May 31 in New Hope, hence the name, but later moved to Elsberry in 1890 holding meetings in the IOOF building.

Library Summer Program
A celebration was held Saturday at Palmer Library for those children completing the summer reading program. Those in attendance were treated to stories, prizes, cupcakes, and some friendly rivalry, that included water balloons and squirt guns.
