FLORENCE EDNA LONSBERRY

 Funeral Services for Florence Edna Lonsberry of Elsberry, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Elsberry First Christian Church in Elsberry. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, pastor of Elsberry First Christian Church will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Abe Trevino, Dean Tapley, James Robinson, Mike Talbot, Chris Orso and Cale Mackey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dave Robbins and Bruce Hewitt.
 Florence was born on May 27, 1931 in Hartsville, IL, the daughter of James Charles Robinson and Mildred Parks. She passed away Sunday evening, March 9, 2025 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Florence was 93 years old. She attended the local Elsberry School District. Florence married Ernest “Gene” Lonsberry on July 1950 in Elsberry MO. They were blessed with two children: Leslie and Annette.
 Florence had a variety of careers including: the Glove Factory, Garment Factory, Standard Automotive Parts Exchange, office manager at Hillcrest Motel, and as a cafeteria worker for the Elsberry School District, retiring in 1999. She was a longtime member of the Elsberry First Christian Church, where she served as Deacon Emeritus.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Robinson; one brother, Gene Robinson and his wife, Beverly; and her beloved husband of nearly 38 years, Gene Lonsberry, who died on June 4, 1988.
 Survivors include her children: Les Lonsberry and his wife, Debbie, of Elsberry and Annette Giardina and her husband, Joe, also of Elsberry; three grandchildren: Shanna Lonsberry and her wife, Michelle, Stacy Lonsberry and Krista Orso and her husband, Chris; and five great-grandchildren: Adeline, Emeri, Sicily, Had­◤CO Check hyphenation◢leigh and Walker. Florence also leaves her dear friend, Marcia Hill of Elsberry; many other relatives, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Elsberry First Christian Church.
