It was a nice sunny morning for students as they gathered in the elementary school gymnasium. Teacher’s lined the walls and students formed rows according to grades and most importantly, it all went off without a hitch.
Although there is still some small construction going on, near the high school gym, the air conditioning was working and students and teachers couldn’t have been happier about it. There was a loud applause when Clarence Cannon Elementary School Principal Toni Wankel brought members of the construction crew up and thanked them for all their hard work.
Next, Wankel turned down the lights and the entire room began to sing a parody to Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” but to the “Seven Habits of Leadership,” which is something the school implemented last school year.
After the morning announcements, students were dismissed with their teachers and parents headed to the cafeteria where they were able to enjoy a Boohoo Breakfast and learn about all the school has to offer this year.
