On Thursday, Dec. 6 a tradition continued for Kindergarten students at Elsberry’s Clarence Cannon Elementary as all three classes took a field trip to the Elsberry Post Office to send off a very special letter.

Sixty-three Kindergarten students had the opportunity to mail their letters to the big man himself, Santa Claus as well as receive a tour of the Post Office and sing Christmas Carols for the workers.

Elsberry Postmaster Kim McGuire and Foley Clerk Christina Thornhill guided the students through the process of how the letters make their way to the North Pole.

Kindergarten teachers Mrs. Gremaud (top left), Mrs. Morris (top right) and Ms. Marty (bottom right) worked with their students to prepare the special letters as well as teaching them the Christmas Carols.
