A new name, bigger, and better is what owners Tracy Schroeder and Steve Kaiser are planning for the former Tubby’s Pub and Grill located on Main Street.
Now called, Shooters Saloon, the new owners who took over July 1, are doing so without interruption to normal business.
To maximize service and offer more to customers, the new owners will be expanding the area of the business into the building next door, formerly the Donut Shop.
They are hoping to offer more pool tables and dart boards for patrons to enjoy. Eventually the area will also house a stage for a live band and dance floor.
Better, will be the quality of the food, offering new products and daily specials.
By months end pizza will be an added item, along with menu staples such as appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. Schroeder is adding healthier choices for patrons with more salads available on the menu.
Future plans include the availability of lunch deliveries for the area and a dart league to begin in the fall.
When asked why she purchased the business, Schroder explained, “I have been around this industry all my life, so when the opportunity arose to purchase this establishment I couldn’t pass it up. I am very excited to bring my knowledge and aspirations to the Elsberry Community.”
A Grand Opening is being planned for Aug. 25, featuring the Mickey Hollis Band and a whole hog roast.
