The Clopton/Elsberry IndianHawks will begin their 2014 season on Aug. 22 with a home game against Winfield at 7 p.m.

Head Coach Mike Scheibel lost a number of talented seniors last year, including quarterback Jack Hicks, linebacker/running back Rheed Leake and linebacker/running back Devon Linton.

Leake had over 100 tackles last season, while Hicks ran for over 1200 yards.

“Those guys are hard to replace but I feel like this year we’re more of a well-rounded team,” said Scheibel. “The kids know my system. Last year at this time they were still learning the offense.”
