The Joseph R. Palmer Family Memorial Library in Elsberry will be joining libraries across the state in this year’s Summer Reading Program for kids.

“The theme this year is ‘Dig into Reading,’” said Palmer Library Supervisor Sarah Hunt. “We will be having programs about dinosaurs, mummies, heavy equipment, worms and other amazing things.”

The program will kick off on June 1 at 10 a.m. at the library and is open to children grades K-5.

Registration forms for the program will be available May 1 at the Library and those interested need not attend every program to participate. There will be prizes and certificates for all who meet their reading goals.

For questions, call the Palmer Library at 573-898-5821.
