Recently, the officers of Elsberry VFW Post #9064 presented Ed Potter, Owner of Double Eagle Ranch, the Patriot of the Year Award.

This award was bestowed upon Potter for helping Veterans in the community.

Roger Morris, VFW Commander said, “Mr. Potter is one of the many who go above and beyond for the Veterans of Lincoln County and we appreciate everything he does.”

Potter and his staff at Double Eagle hosted a Veterans Appreciation Day this summer at the ranch for them and their families. Food and fun was provided to all in attendance.

Although Potter was humbled and appreciative of the award, he said, “Appreciation Day is the least we could do for everything the Veterans have done for us.”

Although Potter’s name is on the award he added, “This award should go to all the employees at the Ranch and all those volunteers who made the event possible.”

Double Eagle looks forward to hosting the event next year and making it bigger and better.
