While on patrol in the area of South 6th Street, O’Brien observed a green 4-wheeler matching the description of one stolen in Moscow Mills.
After confirming that the 4-wheeler was indeed reported stolen, O’Brien questioned Julian Powell of Elsberry.
Powell stated that it was Timothy Golden, Jr.’s. While talking with Powell, O’Brien stated he kept putting his hands in his pockets. Powell was placed in handcuffs and searched.
During the search he kicked a grey pouch out of his pant legs towards a tree.
The pouch contained a glass pipe with a brown and crystal like substance on the inside. The search also found two syringes, a scale, a silver pocket knife and a pocket game.
The 4-wheeler was towed to Jackson’s Automotive and Powell was transferred to the Lincoln County Jail to be booked and processed for a 24-hour hold.
Charges are pending.
