Entrepreneurs Rob and Heather Richardson stand in front of their new business Proven Auto Sales and Service located at 310 N Main St. in Elsberry.

Life is about choices! Elsberry residents now have another choice for their auto needs.

Elsberry High School graduate, Rob Richardson and his wife Heather, have opened Proven Auto Service and Sales at 310 N. Main After their purchase of the old gas station building (that sits in front of MFA) from Terry Smith, the Richardson’s completed a total renovation of the building and will be open for business.

The business will be offering full diagnostics service and repair on any make and model vehicles, along with oil changes. Richardson would like to think his prices and quality on oil changes are competitive with other quick lube establishments.

Richardson expressed that eventually he would like to expand to tire repair, alignments and more vehicles for purchase. The other idea that Richardson hopes to appeal to customers is the business being open in the evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Richardson has always had a passion for cars since a young age. He continued that passion in high school attending Pike and Lincoln Tech School in the area of auto mechanics.

Currently, he works full time for as a service technician during the day, and is trying out his entrepreneurial skills at night. The phone number to the business is 573-312-5008 where Heather will be handling the receptionist duties.

Although the business opens on April 2, the community is invited to come out to the Grand Opening and Ribbon cutting Ceremony on Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m. hosted by the Elsberry Community Growth Association.
