MaryAnn Garger Hare Lovell Mrs. MaryAnn Garger Hare Lovell "Skydiving Granny", 90, of Elsberry, died on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at her residence. She was the oldest child born to Frank and Maria (Eberhardt) Garger on Nov. 2, 1919 in St. Louis. Mrs. Lovell had two younger sisters: Agnes and Arlene. She grew up in St. Louis during the depression era and began working at the age of 12, caring for young children. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during WWII and ferried the planes and later worked as an airplane mechanic. She also was a pilot and did a solo skydive at the age of 67.
