The Missouri State High School Activities Association Board of Directors met on June 18, at which time they considered the situation that the Elsberry R-II School District finds itself in, involving an arrest of a student athlete (Rahiem Porter) in December 2013.
In rendering their decision the board ordered that Porter is to remain ineligible until all conditions are met with the criminal court system.
At the conclusion of having met all court conditions, he is to sit out a number of contests equal to those that he participated in while ineligible or serve a school suspension of eligibility calculated on the number of days since his arrest and his completion of the court requirements, whichever is greater, before being allowed to represent the school in any further contests.
MSHSAA did not require any forfeitures on the part of the Elsberry R-II School District and/or its sports program.
