Mary Blondell Rice, 82, died Thursday afternoon, April 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Born Jan. 24, 1931 in TN, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Oma Flo McKnight Williams. She was a housewife and loved making quilts and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Oma Williams; one daughter-in-law, Chris Rice; one son-in-law, Jerry Ellis; one sister, Gladys Courtway; and four brothers: Benjamin, Robert, Leroy and Bill Williams.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ellis of Elsberry; four sons: Dennis Rice of Elsberry, Bruce Rice and his wife, Lorraine, of Hazelwood, Randy Rice and his wife, Tammie, of Elsberry and Kendall Rice, also of Elsberry; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters: Adaline Williams of Jefferson City and Audrey Tanner of Elsberry, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

Carolyn K. Hammann
Carolyn K. Hammann, nee; Godin, 56 of Creve Coeur formerly of Granite City died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Ms. Hammann was born on March 31, 1957 in Granite City. She was a pharmacist for Elsberry Pharmacy and will be remembered by her family for the many special times shared together.
She is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Rachael Hammann of Creve Coeur; sister, Maria and (Joe) Smith of Troy, IL; step-father, Horst Quante of Granite City; nephew, Nicholas Smith of Troy, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kay Quante.
In lieu of flowers or donations, a fund has been set up at Providence Bank in Elsberry for her daughter, Rachael. Donations can be sent to the bank or dropped off at Elsberry Pharmacy in the name of Rachael Hammann.

Mary Frances Byington of Foley died late Friday night April 18, 2013 at the age of 90.
