The Lincoln County Health Foundation (LCHF), a local not-for-profit organization, is organizing their Third Annual LCHF Sporting Clay Shoot fundraiser on Sunday, April 28, at Blackhawk Valley Hunting Preserve in Old Monroe. As in previous years, all the proceeds raised from the event will go toward funding health related activities throughout Lincoln County.

The Sporting Clay Shoot will be comprised of four person teams with a $200 per team registration fee. Participants will go through twelve shooting stations and will be eligible to win shooting prizes and attendance prizes. Lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m. with the Clay Shoot going from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Any individuals wishing to participate in the event but don’t have a team can be placed on a team the day of the event. The LCHF is also raffling off a shotgun as part of the fundraiser and are being sold by various foundation board members.

All the funds raised for the Lincoln County Health Foundation will remain here in Lincoln County.

“We are pleased with the success of our first two events and the support we have had from many individuals and businesses within our community. Each year we hope to build on the previous year’s event by getting more people involved through sponsorships or participation in the event with their team. The financial goal with the Sporting Clay Shoot continues to help us achieve our mission of providing programs that strengthen health services and education to the families throughout Lincoln County,” said Terry Henderson, LCHF member.

The Lincoln County Health Foundation was established in 2004 to promote the general health of Lincoln County residents, including offering support and assistance to the Lincoln County Medical Center. The foundation has been involved in various health related activities throughout the county and through the fundraising events will increase the opportunity to support healthy initiatives in the future. During this past year the Foundation was able to provide free flu shots and is supporting a countywide needs assessment measuring drug usage and awareness.
