Star Hope Baptist Church recently held their 2018 Vacation Bible School to the theme “Game On”.
Lead by Jenny Lynn Heras, VBS Director, workers and kids were invited to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments.
During the week all activities, such as classroom time, missions, crafts, recreation and even snacks, enhanced the theme for those in attendance that whether they are on the offensive line, sideline, drum line, a player, cheerleader, or band member God has given His ultimate playbook for everyone.
He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another.
There was an average of 55 kids and 25 workers a day at Star Hope to follow through with the motto……..Gear up! Get Ready! Game on!
According to the Lifeway website (A Christian bookstore) VBS has been a vital part of church ministry since 1898 and is used by more than 25,000 churches each year to reach 2.5 million people. Last year, more than 70,000 salvation decisions were reported as a direct result of VBS. VBS isn’t just about fun, games, and snacks. Its primary purpose is leading people to experience the life-transforming power of the gospel.
