The Elsberry Lady Indians started off their week on the road with a 48-40 loss to the Orchard Farm Lady Eagles on Jan. 20.
“We played a good game overall,” said Lady Indians Head Coach Hector Bencomo. “However, we weren’t able to make the uncontested lay-ups or the easy shots throughout the game. In addition, we were three for eight from the free-throw line as a team. We need to go back to the basics and start from scratch.”
The Lady Indians were led in scoring by Olivia Brown with 13 points, followed by Brittni Hagemeier with nine, Tanner Bencomo and Amanda Jo Talbot with six each, Kate Boedeker with four and Passion Hunter-Edwards with two.
