The Lady Indians played the game of their lives on Thursday, Jan. 17 when they paired up against a hard hitting North Callaway team.
“It was a really good game and I think it could definitely qualify, too an extent, as the best game our girls have had all season,” said Head Coach Hector Bencomo. “It was a good game all the way around as far as playing defense and offence. It had all the components to be one of those games you will remember for a long time.”
Not only did the Lady Indians play with a full heart and as a team, according to Bencomo, they also had an extreme game of three-point after three-point as Olivia Brown made six three-pointers, Tanner Bencomo made two and Brittni Hagemeier made two.
“I don’t know exactly what the record is, right now, but I know for our girls 10 three-pointers in one game is a vast improvement from what have seen in the past and I couldn’t be prouder,” said Bencomo. “I know, more or less, who the shooters are for the team and we’ve been working on the little things we needed to work on and I’ve now got my shooters where they serve best.”
