The Elsberry Lady Indians were victorious over Montgomery County on Feb. 15 by a final score of 66-43.
“During the first quarter we had a real hard time doing the things we wanted and needed to do,” said Head Coach Hector Bencomo. “Whenever we play on a Saturday it seems that the girls aren’t quite up to speed.”
The rust on the girls was obvious as the Lady Indians ended the first quarter tied 10-10 with Montgomery County.
“After having some discussions and rotating various positions we came out and outscored them 20-11 in the second quarter,” said Bencomo.
