It’s a dog’s day, at least a dog’s afternoon as the EHS Student Senate invites all dog owners to come and participate in the Pooch Parade.
The event will take place at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 and all proceeds go to benefit the Jillian Young Memorial Scholarship Fund. The cost is $1 per walker, except for the pooches, they walk for free. Everyone who is walking is asked to meet in the Clarence Cannon Elementary School parking lot at 1 p.m. and parents of small children might consider bringing wagons or other non motorized vehicles to haul the parade-weary youngsters.
All dogs are required to be restrained with sturdy collars and leashes and walkers are asked to leave their dogs in the car until parade time begins.
The parade route will begin in the elementary school parking lot, make a left on Welch, left on Hwy B – with police escort, left on Tomahawk and left back into the elementary school parking lot.
In the event of rain, the parade will be cancelled with no reschedule date.
