Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 100 block of Country Hill Estates, in Foley, Missouri, for a domestic disturbance. While deputies were in route emergency communications stated, 30-year old Kathryn Marie Vigil ran over her boyfriend with her vehicle.

The victim told deputies a physical altercation broke out when he observed Vigil punching a three year-old male living in the residence with both hands. During the course of their argument, Vigil began throwing the household items at him causing the victim to leave the house for a neighbor’s residence.

After several minutes, the victim returned home to remove his biological son.

Vigil then loaded her two children into her vehicle and attempted to drive to the neighbor’s residence. The victim stated to the on-scene deputies he stood in front of the vehicle to stop it. Vigil used the vehicle to nudge him several times and eventually struck him hard enough to cause him to fall.

The victim was able to get away and remove the keys from the vehicle.

During their investigation, deputies determined the Foley residence was unlivable and the children were residing in deplorable conditions. Deputies took them in protective custody. The Division of Social Services placed the three children in foster care.

The victim refused medical attention and did not appear to be suffering from any apparent injuries.

Vigil was taken into custody and charged with Felony Domestic Assault in the First Degree and is currently housed at the Lincoln County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.

Those charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
