The Treble Makers, as shown above, put on a stellar performance during the Elsberry R-II School District music program on Monday, Dec. 7.

The annual Elsberry Elementary School Christmas concert, “Dear Santa, A Musical “Tweet” for Christmas” was held Monday, Dec. 7 in the HS gymnasium.  This yearly production was produced by Music Teacher, Jenny Lynn  Heras and she was assisted by the classroom teachers. In front of a packed house of family and friends, each grade level, Kindergarten through third, sang their own song, along with the special music group called “Treble Makers”, which is made up of selected students in grades fourth through sixth.  Mrs. Heras did an awesome job of bringing almost 250 students together in one room and making beautiful music for the holiday season.  Guests walked away with the holiday spirit as seen through the eyes of a child.
The program began with the tune “I’ve got a list” sung by all the students, followed by “Getting Away for Christmas” belted out by the Kindergarten classes dressed in their Hawaiian and beach wear attire.  Next up was the first grade singing “Anything But a Tie”, as they sported ties of all colors, sizes and themes.  Second grade students then sang, “I need some Wheels” for all in attendance to hear, decked out in college shirts.   Mizzou clothing seemed to be the overwhelming choice by most!
