The Elsberry Indians varsity baseball team earned additional bragging rights last week by winning both of their home games before taking to the road to face the Bobcats on Bowling Green’s home turf.
The two-game winning streak started on April 23 with a 6-3 victory over the Clopton Hawks.
That game was actually initiated on April 1 but was rained out in the fourth inning.
The contest on April 23 was composed of the remaining three innings of the April 1 game.
Elsberry’s player of the game was Tyler Turnbull who went 2-3 at the plate with a sacrifice bunt.
Turnbull also scored two runs and had one stolen base.
