This was evident at the end of the tournament as the Elsberry Cheer Squad captured the “Outstanding Cheer Award” for the sixth straight year. Some forget that cheerleaders put in a lot of time practicing cheers, chants and routines for four months of basketball games.
Like with any kind of team Elsberry Cheerleaders have had a lot of ups and downs so far this year, but according to extremely proud Coach Cari Braden, “it has made us the team we are today.”
Braden went on to say, “their dedication and teamwork speaks volumes to their talent.”
The team looks forward to their next competition which will take place at the Bowling Green Tournament January 22-27.
