The entry fee was one canned food item for the local food pantry. The more canned food items brought in for each class contributed to who won King and Queen. The contributions were: eighth grade- 30 cans; ninth grade- 26 cans; 10 grade- 58 cans; 11 grade-53 cans and12 grade- 26 cans.
The candidates also competed in a series of games. The cake auction was won seniors Maura O’Brien and Bo Young, who sold their cake for $350.00. Second place were juniors Leanna Helm and Slade Pritchett, who sold theirs for $253.00; third place were sophomores- Kaylee Calvin and Cory Boedeker, who sold theirs for $217.00; fourth place winners were freshmen- Julia Vaughn and Tyler Collins, who sold theirs for $115.00 and fifth place went to eighth graders- Emily Braden and Jordan Oliver, who sold theirs for $71.00.
All the students enjoyed a night of dancing and snacks while the scores were being tallied. The 2013 Barnwarming King and Queen are the seniors- Bo Young and Maura O’Brien.
