Members and parents of Cub Scout Pack 391 have been very busy, so to celebrate a successful summer of activities they held a family BBQ at LaCrosse Park Thursday evening.
Since May, activities for the troop include: Memorial Day flag placement in the Elsberry City and Jefferson Barracks National Cemeteries, a pack campout at Cuivre River State Park where the boys spent time fishing, the boys took time to sort crayons that were donated for a service project, participated in the Elsberry 4th of July parade and led the pledge for the opening ceremony at the park.
Pack leaders Andrew Wakefield and Erin Tapley are excited to see such large numbers in their group.
“With 21 boys actively participating in our pack we can get a lot accomplished and have lots of fun,” said Tapley.
Plans for the fall include a camping trip, popcorn sales, helping at the Old Threshers, and working with HAM radio operators to learn about the topic.
