Coyote Round-Up returns; proceeds to benefit Central Missouri Honor Flight

Posted on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 6:12 am

The Fourth Annual C4 Coyote Roundup will begin on Friday, Jan. 18 with registration at 5 p.m. at the Elsberry American Legion, followed by check in on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 1 pm.

Last year’s event raised over $1400 and saw 39 teams participating. This year organizers hope to top those totals when the event is all said and done.

When the Cordsiemon Brothers, Brian, Brad and Ron, started this event four years ago they never dreamed it would have grown to such a worthwhile event.

The proceeds from the event go to the Central Missouri Honor Flight and the people involved are doing their part to eliminate some predators off the land.

Teams also receive a payout determined by how many teams are entered and of course they have bragging rights.

Participants can only use calling and still hunting as methods to catch their prey and all MDC rules must be followed.

The Cordsiemon’s are looking forward to another great turn out and “we are very grateful to the American Legion Post #226 for hosting the event again this year.”

Food and drinks will be for sale on Friday and Sunday at gathering times and attendance prizes will be drawn on Sunday.
