Cornhole, food, fun and music at park fundraiser

The weather was perfect as the Elsberry Page Branch Park Committee held a fundraiser along side the Elsberry Fire Protection District.

The event seen the Elsberry Centennial Methodist Church, Clarksville VFW Post #4610 and Blind Pig Meat serving food as well as a beer garden sponsored by the Elsberry Fire Protection District.

“The Elsberry Fire Department wants to thank everyone that came out and supported us,” stated Fire Chief Kevin Hailey.

A round-robin cornhole tournament was held at 4 p.m. with Prentiss Cardin and Aaron Johnson capturing first place. They both donated their winnings back to Page Branch Park.

Next to the beer garden, local band “Family Still”, consisting of Tim Baker, Sid Baker and Mike Whyte performed.

“All-in-all I think the day went very well,” said Amy Lowe, Page Branch Park Chairman. “We appreciate everyone that came out to support Page Branch Park and our vendors.”
