I have lived in Elsberry all my life. Over the years I have heard negative remarks about living in a small town. Some true, some not.
I can assure you the good things outweigh the bad. Over the years I have watched people pull together to help others in need.
I think it’s time we show more interest in regard to important decisions being made that effect all of us.
It is too easy to complain but never do anything about it.
I attended the City Council meeting on Sept. 11 because I had issues regarding my water bill. Nothing has been resolved about my high water bill, but our Council members did listen and agreed some changes need to be made.
We shouldn’t expect our City Council to do this alone. We need to support our Mayor and Council by attending meetings.
I am asking the Citizens of Elsberry to please attend the next meeting, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Let’s pull together and show some interest about important decisions being made. We need to speak up.
