Clinic in Lake Saint Louis providing healthcare to those in need

Sharon Pivin, Maggie Guilkey, Sonja Dickherber, Pat Pirtle and Emily are just some of the volunteers on hand at the Lake Saint Louis Volunteers in Medicine Clinic.

“Caring for America’s Uninsured” is the motto for the Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) program and now they have a new home to do just that.
An Open House was held on Dec. 13 at the new Lake Saint Louis location at 10710 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, Suite 100 (the First State Bank building).
The clinic, which has been open for two years,  had been practicing out of the first floor of a physician’s office building at No. 2 Harbor Court Drive, just west of SSM St. Joseph Hospital West.
The office space was used as a cardiac rehabilitation center and was not the ideal place to see patients. The clinic’s new office has small rooms to provide privacy for their patients.
The mission of the clinic is to serve the medical needs of St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln and Montgomery County residents who are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance and who meet federal 200% poverty guidelines.
