Charles E. Railey
Funeral Services for Charles “Chuck” Erskine Railey of Foley, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. James Morgan and Rev. Roy McClain, officiated with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Don Moander, Craig Brinkman, Del Brinkman, Russell Sommerland, Fred Horstman, Gary Kreienheder, Wayne Lindberg and David Lilley.
Mr. Erskine Railey, 75, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, 2012 at his home, surrounded by friends and family. Born July 20, 1937 in Kenton, OH, he was the son of C. Marion and Mazie Isabelle McClure Railey. Although from Ohio, Mr. Erskine Railey claimed Kentucky as his home. He was a 1955 graduate of Miamisburg, OH High School. He worked his way through Tri-State University in Angola, IN, graduating in 1959 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He was married to Marilyn Burton in 1958. This union was blessed with four daughters: Dawn, Carol, Brenda and Annette. In 1986 Chuck married Carol Beck Morgan in Foristell. He was blessed to become the step-father of her two sons: James and Brian.
Mr. Erskine Railey worked as a Senior Staff Engineer for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. While employed at McDonnell Douglas, he was also a Design Engineer for F-4 and F-18 Fighter Jets and Supplier Manager with the Israeli and Swiss Air Force. He retired in December 1998 after 36 years of employment. After his retirement, he began driving a school bus in the Winfield, Troy and Silex School Districts until 2008. He was a member of the Air Force Association and Presidential Prayer Team. He worshiped at Calvary Chapel in Winfield. He loved being with people and working anyway he could for the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Marion and Mazie Railey; and one sister, Roberta Pacheco.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 26 years, Carol Railey, of Foley; four daughters: Dawn Burhart and her husband, Paul, of Adrian, Carole Duncan and her husband, Mike, Brenda Wagemaker and her husband, Bill, of Topeka, KS and Annette Railey; two step-sons: James Morgan and his wife, Carla, of Lee’s Summit and Brian Morgan and his wife, Kathy, of Elsberry; and fourteen grandchildren: Joshua Morgan and his wife, Ashley, Hannah Morgan, Jennifer, Reagan and Ashley Morgan, Emily, Billy, Abigail and Sophie Wagemaker; Zach and Conner Duncan, Jessie Burhart and his wife, Kelly, Ray Burhard and his wife, Jessica, and Maria Roth and her husband, Joseph; one great-grandchild: Elodie Roth; and two step-great-grandchildren: Ariana and Vander Grooms. He also leaves two sisters: Fern McClain and her husband, Roy, of Georgetown, IN and Mazie Railey of Louisville, KY; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.

Steven Keith Peecher
Funeral services for Steven Keith Peecher of Wentzville will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Mel Bonds, pastor of the Agape Church in Wentzville, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Peecher, Brian Morgan, Jim Wood, Jay Herring, Pat Stonebraker, Allen Stonebraker, Greg Piper and Steve Briscoe.
Mr. Peecher, 53, died Sunday morning, November 18, 2012 at Progress West Hospital in O‘Fallon. Born Oct. 28, 1959 in Louisiana, he was the son of Herschel Clyde and Mildred Evelyn Cohee Peecher. Raised in Elsberry, Mr. Peecher was a 1978 graduate of Elsberry High School. He graduated from University of Missouri Rolla in 1982 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He was employed at GE Aviation in St. Louis. After being together for nine years, he was united in marriage on June 18, 2009 in Honolulu, HI to Buffy Dawn Chapman. Mr. Peecher had a passion for music, guitars, drums and bands. He also loved motorcycles. He was a member of the Agape Church in Wentzville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Mildred Peecher.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 3 years, Buffy Peecher; twin daughters: Stephanie and Lindsey Peecher of Wentzville; and one sister, Janet Whitmer and her husband, Bill, of Festus. He also leaves nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Visitation was held 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
