Chapter 226 receives donation for scholarship

American Legion RidersOn Thursday, Feb. 6 The Winfield-Foley Firefighter Association donated $500 to the American Legion Riders Chapter 226 from Elsberry for The Legacy Scholarship Fund. The Legacy Scholarship Fund is geared towards helping children who have a parent that has fallen during war. The scholarship funds will be distributed throughout Missouri to children who qualify.
The American Legion Riders are well known for their charitable work for schools, hospitals, veterans and much more.

Otis G. Madden is the oldest Legion Rider to still ride his own bike during events and is also a WWII veteran.
