Big things in 2012 for Elsberry Sports

Elsberry teams had quite  a season in 2012, in almost every sport and group.
For the third year in a row the 2011-2012 Elsberry Varsity Indians found themselves as the winners of the oldest tournament in the state; the Bowling Green Invitational. They even made it all the way to Regional Playoff’s before ending their record breaking season. The Elsberry Lady Indians captured third place in the Louisiana Bulldog Invitational Tournament. Then they captured the Class 2 District 11 Championship with a 10-0 victory over Principia, which was also  their second consecutive 10-0 win in the tournament.
Even as the 2012 year came to an end, the Lady Indians Basketball team were and are currently having a big year, as well as the Indians, who are 4-0 for their current season.
The Elsberry Indians Cross Country Team took fourth place at State on Nov. 3, 2012 with an average time of 23:45.59 and a total time of 1:58:47.94 and Head Coach Ezra Tillotson announced his official retirement from the team.
Four Elsberry students came together and formed the first all-girl Lady Indian Soccer team for 2012-2013 season and the Elsberry Marching band had one of their greatest years ever.
