This scholarship was inspired by the recent events in Lincoln County which created the Mix Movement.
This scholarship will be given to a student who demonstrates in essay format the idea that students can come together to make a difference in their community and the lives of others.
Senior students may pick up the scholarship applications at their high school guidance office.
The deadline for the scholarship is Feb. 28.
This is the first of two $500 scholarships the district employees will be awarding to a 2014 graduate.
