Cross-Country Teams compete at Hermann

Elsberry’s cross-country teams took to the road on Oct. 7 to compete in the annual Hermann Cross-Country Invitational. “They ran against some good competition,” said Head Coach Ezra Tillotson. “I thought they performed very well on that ground.” Other schools attending included Washington, Chamois, Pacific, South Callaway, Wellsville-Middletown, Hermann, New Haven, St. Clair, Union, the Missouri School for the Deaf and Owensville.     The Clopton/Elsberry IndianHawks managed to fight their way through a wet, muddy and razor-thin game to pull off a 14-12 homecoming victory on Oct. 10.

    The Clopton/Elsberry IndianHawks pulled off a nail-biter of a victory on Oct. 10 against the Van-Far Indians. The game began with an 85-yard kick return that resulted in a touchdown for IndianHawk senior Collin Dugan.     The Elsberry Homecoming King and Queen were announced Friday night during halftime of the Clopton-Elsberry IndianHawks vs Van-Far football game. Junior Dillon Zumwalt and Senior Krista Giannakis were crowned as the 2014 Homecoming King and Queen. The homecoming court consisted of Senior Jonathan Jansen; Junior Alayna Conrad; Sophomores Donovan Guccione and Julia Vaughn and Freshmen Luke Holtsclaw and Brittney Taubig.

  • Mexico Bulldog Invitational Oct. 11, 2014

    The Ninth Annual Bulldog Invitational Soccer tournament will be hosted at the Mexico Middle School. The tournament will consist of a four-team bracket.
