Changes are in store for Elsberry’s Cross Country Program in 2014. “Elsberry has been moved to Class 2,” said Head Coach Ezra Tillotson. Most of the schools in that group are private and the majority of those are all male. “That means our boys are going to get some tremendous competition,” said Tillotson.     The Clopton-Elsberry IndianHawks were running on all cylinders on Aug. 22, delivering a 50-22 stomping to the Winfield Warriors to make the joint-schools team 1-0 on the 2014 football season.     Elsberry’s new activities director and head girls softball coach Chad Twellman is gearing up for his first year with the Lady Indians.     Legion Baseball in Elsberry has been going at a break-neck pace since late May despite the rain and the otherwise inconsistent weather patterns. This week Elsberry’s AAA team was set to start off the action at home on June 11 with a 6:30 p.m. game against Sullivan.     The Dream Killers took 1st Place at Gus Macker (3 on 3 basketballtournament) in Quincy, Illinois on Memorial Day weekend. The girls competed on the 16-17 year court, and they play the St. Louis Hype. This is the third year the Dream Killers have won this 3 on 3 tournament.
