Bencomo signs with Jefferson Community College

On May 12 Elsberry senior Tanner Bencomo officially signed a letter of intent to attend and play basketball for Jefferson Community College in Hillsboro.   • Meet Elsberry’s feeder teams

    Pictured are Elsberry’s fourth grade basketball feeder team coached by Crystal Dowell, and the fifth and sixth grade [teams one and two] teams coached by Dowell and Greg Pflasterer. Each of these four teams competed in tournaments at Clopton, Elsberry, Montgomery City, Bowling Green, Van-Far and Mark Twain during the spring 2015 season.

  • Lesley signs with Northern Colorado

    Former Elsberry Indian Kenny Lesley will be joining the ranks of the North Colorado Bears for the upcoming 2015-2016 college basketball season.

    Greeley, Colo. – The Northern Colorado men’s basketball team padded its roster with the addition of Kenny Lesley. Head coach B.J. Hill announced on Wednesday that Lesley will be joining the Bears for the upcoming 2015-16 season. Lesley hails from Elsberry, Missouri where he was a stand-out during his high school career.     Elsberry’s eighth grade boys have started a traveling team called the Lumberjacks.
