Over 50 Clarence Cannon Elementary girls participated in this year’s one-day cheerleading camp. The students were taught a cheer and dance by the Elsberry High School Cheerleaders and performed at Senior Night on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

On Feb. 18 the Elsberry High School Cheerleaders hosted a one-day cheerleading camp for students at Clarence Cannon Elementary. “We had the little girls come in after school and meet us in the elementary gym,” said Cheerleading Sponsor Reagan Skaggs. “From 3 p.m. until about 4:45 p.m. we worked on teaching them a dance and a cheer. We also did some jumps with some of them, depending on their ages.”

  • Lady Indians defeat Louisiana at home, but lose to New Haven on the road

    The Lady Indians made quick work of the Louisiana Lady Bulldogs, but struggled against New Haven on the road.

    The Elsberry Lady Indians didn’t stop to gather any moss after winning third place in the Bowling Green Invitational Tournament on Jan. 31.   • Lesley named to All-Tourney Team

    Elsberry Indians Center Kenny Lesley was named to the Lutheran High School Nike Cougar Classic All-Tournament team with a 45 point performance in the three games.
Elsberry won the Consolation Title with a 56-41 victory over Orchard Farm.

    Jacob Braden and Ben Rhoades made All-District team for the 2013 season. “Jacob and Ben were both players that our team looked up to and respected,” said Head Coach Dustin Robinson. “Jacob played defense for us but you couldn’t tell it because he was everywhere on the field. We put a lot on his shoulders on the defensive end. Jacob is a player that you will never question his effort.”
