Pott hits the green with a 79 and advances to State

Elsberry Golf Star, Ethan Pott finally got his chance at redemption as he shot a 79 during Districts advancing him to State. Last year, Pott missed the opportunity by only two strokes leaving former Elsberry Graduate Matthew Braden to go alone. However, according to Head Coach Ryan Parker the tension is less after being here three times already. But Pott was not alone at Districts and he was not alone

Although the Lady Indians lost 9-0, Head Coach Kelly Cullen is still pleased with some of the improvement the girls have made considering the lack of practice they have had due to weather.

    The Lady Indians suffered another loss on Monday, April 29 against Christian as they went scoreless, 9-0.     Michael Ligon, who served as a big benefit for the Elsberry Indians last season as their third baseman, is expected to be one of this year's leaders, in the sense he holds the most experience and will help guide some of the younger players.

    The Elsberry Indians will kick off the 2013 baseball season on March 19 with a 5 p.m. game against Palmyra.
