  • Elsberry License Office contract up for bid

    The Missouri Office of Administration is now accepting management contract bids for the Elsberry License Office. Interested individuals and groups must submit their bids to operate the Elsberry License Office by Feb. 28. A copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) bidders are required to use to develop their bids can be viewed here.   • Sheriff’s office partners with VA to assist veterans

    The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Jail Administration recently signed into an agreement to partner in the Veteran Administration’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program.   • Mayor praises the performance of Alliance during recent snowstorms

  • Nixon appoints Fordyce to head Missouri Department of Agriculture

    Gov. Jay Nixon today named Richard Fordyce , of Bethany , as the new director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture . Fordyce and his wife, Renee, grow soybeans and corn as well as raise beef cattle on the family farm in Harrison County.   • Post Offices open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve

    Post Offices nationwide will be open Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31. Most Post Offices will shorten retail lobby hours and close at noon on these dates. Regular mail delivery will be unaffected by the change.
