  • Kirby performs at Elsberry United Methodist Church

    On Dec. 28 the Elsberry United Methodist Church hosted an organ and violin recital by Mitchell Kirby [above]. Kirby is originally from Troy and is currently a student at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill. He treated those in attendance to a number of classical pieces on both the organ and the violin, which he began playing when he was only four years old.

  • Old Glory Jubilee Committee brings “Quarter Auction” back to Elsberry

    Due to the success of last year’s event, the members of the Old Glory Jubilee Committee have decided to host a second “Quarter Auction” in the Elsberry High School Gymnasium on April 18. Proceeds from the event will help fund the anticipated return of the Old Glory Jubilee Celebration to Elsberry on July 4, 2015. Pictured above are some of those Elsberry residents who participated in the November, 2014 auction.
