The last Sunday evening of every month, take a trip up north Hwy. 79 through Elsberry and allow yourself to be taken back-in-time as Cadillac Bills holds their monthly Car Cruise.   • DAREDEVILS Wankel and Jones…very brave souls

    During the morning hours on Monday, Elsberry Elementary students had the opportunity to watch BMX bikers perform tricks and stunts. A special half-pipe ramp was set up in the Elementary School parking lot as numerous bikers did flips, jumps and much more. At one point, Elementary Principal Toni Wankel and fourth grade teacher Sherrill Jones sat atop the ramp while a BMX rider performed a 360°flip.

                          Great minds filled the American Legion Hall on Saturday night for the 5th Annual Marcella Whitehead Scholarship Trivia Night. The money raised goes to numerous scholarships for Elsberry High School graduating seniors.

2014 Senior Citizen's Academy

Lincoln County Senior Citizens Academy begins July 21

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with The Lincoln County Council on Aging (LCCOA) in Troy will host this year’s Senior Citizens Academy. This three-day academy will begin on July 21 and run from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The academy is open to the Lincoln County public and will address topics pertaining to senior citizens. Such topics will include personal and residential safety, scams, health screenings, bingo prizes

  • Summer reading fun at Palmer Library

  • Soccer Camp a huge success

    It might seem hard to believe but the much-anticipated week-long soccer camp sponsored by the Elsberry Ministerial Alliance is now part of history.
