Elsberry fish fry postponed one week

It’s that time of the year again when weekly fish fries will start popping up all over the community and for approximately a month families will have one more option when it comes to where and what to eat on a Friday night.   • TeamKidz present “365 Days of Christmas” program

    The TeamKidz of First Baptist Church presented their annual Christmas program December 14 at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary with refreshments following in the fellowship hall. The program was entitled “365 Days of Christmas” which involved songs relating to each month of the year as well as children’s lines which promoted having the Christmas spirit all year long.     Members of the “Old Glory Jubilee” Committee met on Dec. 2 at the Elsberry City Hall. Committee Chairman Gina McNelly presided over the meeting. Present were Elsberry Mayor Terry Martin, Marilyn Martin, Jo Ann Cordsiemon, Bobbie Waggoner, Terrie Harper, Amanda Holland and Lauren Holland.   • EHS students perform at annual Christmas Concert

    On Dec. 9 band and choir students at Elsberry High School hosted their annual Christmas Concert in the high school gym. Led by Band and Choir Director Rebecca Shroyer, the EHS jazz band [top], the high school choir [middle] and the concert band all performed various holiday favorites, as well as some newer, more contemporary numbers for the parents, teachers and guests in attendance.
