On July 19, Elsberry children participating in the summer library program at Joseph R. Palmer Memorial Library were visited by a magician from Abra-Kid-Abra, a Webster Groves based entertainment company. The magician, who was introduced to the children as “Howie”, brought with him a comical combination of mirth, mayhem and a magical tribute to Dr. Seuss.   • Domestic Violence: Working with victims and the offender workshop

    The Lincoln County Domestic Violence Court Advisory Committee held a Domestic Violence Workshop for EMASS (Eastern Missouri Alternative Sentencing Services), attorneys, law enforcement, probation and patrol, counselors, therapists and victim advocates.     Come experience downtown Clarksville from the artist’s point of view during “Sunflower Days” on July 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m..   • Lincoln County Senior Citizens Academy begins July 21

    The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with The Lincoln County Council on Aging (LCCOA) in Troy will host this year’s Senior Citizens Academy. This three-day academy will begin on July 21 and run from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The academy is open to the Lincoln County public and will address topics pertaining to senior citizens.
