2014 Senior Citizen's Academy

Lincoln County Senior Citizens Academy begins July 21

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with The Lincoln County Council on Aging (LCCOA) in Troy will host this year’s Senior Citizens Academy. This three-day academy will begin on July 21 and run from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The academy is open to the Lincoln County public and will address topics pertaining to senior citizens. Such topics will include personal and residential safety, scams, health screenings, bingo prizes

  • Soccer Camp a huge success

    It might seem hard to believe but the much-anticipated week-long soccer camp sponsored by the Elsberry Ministerial Alliance is now part of history.   • “Touch A Truck” event raises funds for Page Branch Park

    On June 21 the Elsberry Page Branch Park Committee presented its first annual “Touch A Truck” event at the Elsberry Page Branch Park from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event gave children of all ages the chance to sit in the driver’s seat, touch, view up close, pose for photos and learn about how various trucks, equipment and other vehicles work and it also helped the committee raise funds

  • Face-lift is complete at Elsberry Health Care Center

  • Annual 5k run/walk honors Jillian Young

    5K Run Walk

    On Saturday the second annual Jillian Young  5k run/walk event was held. Proceeds from the event go to the Jillian Young Memorial Scholarship Fund. This past graduation two separate scholarships were given from monies raised last year. The run/walk began at the Elsberry High School parking lot and wound its way through town.
