Elsberry’s varsity baseball team took two out of two last week in games against Van-Far and North Callaway. The contest against Van-Far took place on Elsberry’s home turf on April 14. In individual standings, Gavin Hill tied for second place with a score of 42.   • Track and field athletes taking big leap forward

    Elsberry’s Sydney Pickard took seventh place in the triple jump event at Wright City with a distance of 29-04.50.

    Elsberry’s varsity track and field teams competed at Montgomery County on April 20, and despite the cold and windy weather a number of Indian athletes finished in top fashion. For the girls, Naomi Gladney placed seventh in the 800-meter event with a time of 2:53.05. With the number one seed at Districts locked up the Elsberry Lady Indians headed to Montgomery County on Saturday to take part in the first annual EMO Conference Softball Tournament.     Indians get number one seed as they look to enter Districts on Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m. in Monroe City, with their first game against Van Far.
