Domestic turns ugly; female held at gunpoint for three days in Elsberry

On Oct. 21, the Elsberry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic that occurred in the 800 block of North Fifth Street.

It was reported that Ronnie Lovell, 68, of Elsberry held a female against her will at gunpoint for approximately three days. It was also reported that the gun discharged during an argument at that time. However, no one was injured.

Lovell was charged with Unlawful use of a weapon, which is a Class D felony, and one count of domestic assault third degree, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Lovell was given a $15,000 cash only bond.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
