Two separate accidents; one results in fatalty
At approximately 6:50 a.m. on Oct. 15, Debborrah Knop, 56, of Elsberry, was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 70, near Mid Rivers Mall Drive in a 2007 Honda Civic, when she was struck from the rear by Angela Peck, 34, of O’Fallon, who was also driving a 2007 Honda Civic.
According to the crash report, traffic had slowed and Peck was inattentive, which caused her to rear end Knop.
Knop suffered minor injuries and was taken to Saint Joseph West by Saint Charles County Ambulance. Peck was able to drive from scene.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22 an Elsberry woman was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at 10:12 a.m. on Hwy. 61 at Route B.
The Patrol reported a 2000 Mercury Marquis driven by Doris Farmer, 84, of Elsberry, attempted to cross Hwy. 61 from Route B and was struck on the driver’s side by a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Gene Ïox, 28, of Bowling Green.
Farmer was pronounced at the scene by EMS personnel. She was taken to the Lincoln County Medical Center by Lincoln County Coroner Lisa Sitler.
