Winifred Mary JonesWinifred Mary Jones-Beisser, age 91, died Sept. 13, 2013 at Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born May 2, 1922 in St. Louis, to Fred and Agnes Jones, and then baptized into the Catholic Church.

On Aug. 1, 1945 she was united in marriage to Paul Theodore Beisser, Jr. in Clayton and to this union six children were born. Mrs. Jones-Beisser worked as a housewife and mother. She was active in her local Parish and taught needlepoint classes. She enjoyed staying active in all her children’s activities and functions.

Mrs. Jones-Beisser is survived by one brother, Fred C. Jones Jr., her daughters, Louisa Dudley Harris and husband Don, Marion Paulette Wright and husband Donnie, Bird Beisser Fox and husband Steve; sons, Lt. Col. Paul Theodore Beisser III, Jon Christopher Beisser and wife Martha and James Richard Beisser; 20 grandchildren and their spouses, 15 great-grandchildren; five nieces; and four nephews, other relatives and friends and a number of people whose lives she touched.

Mrs. Jones-Beisser is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Theodore Beisser, Jr., her parents, Fred and Agnes Jones, sister Marie Jones-Surkamp, brother Richard Dudley Jones, a great-grand-daughter Alyssa Bailey Miller, and a daughter-in-law, Melody Hodge Beisser.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Oct. 18, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.

In lieu of flowers you are welcome to offer a Mass in Mrs. Jones-Beisser name.

Edward John Freise, of Old Monroe died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at the age of 79.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at Knights of Columbus Hall in Old Monroe and again on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the hall.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe.
