In an effort to deliver safe, reliable power to homes, Ameren crews will soon be working in neighborhoods to trim and remove trees that could possibly interfere with electric service.
All customers in the area will be sent a notice even though some of them may be served by underground power lines.
According to Ameren, it will take several months to complete the trimming.
“This effort is part of Ameren Missouri’s ongoing commitment to deliver safe, reliable service. Tree trimming is a priority for us,” stated Gregory G. Ringkamp, Director – Planning, Standards & Vegetation Management. “Trees, especially during severe weather, are a leading cause of power outages. We are also aggressively inspecting lines and equipment to prevent future outages.”
Anyone with questions or concerns regarding their trees may contact Ameren Missouri at AmerenMissouritreetrimming@ameren.com or call 1-800-552-7583 regarding service questions. Customers can also visit AmerenMissouri.com/Reliability to get additional information.
“I want to assure you that Ameren Missouri employees are working hard to continue to provide safe, reliable and affordable power to you an your neighbors,” stated Ringkamp.
