Two car accident sends four victims to hospital

AccidentsAt 4:55 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22 the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 79 at Hwy. 47.
According to the online crash report, a 2001 Ford Focus, driven by Aaron Powers, 21, of Old Monroe was traveling southbound on Hwy. 79 when a 1999 Dodge Neon driven by Caresse Brewer, 25, of Elsberry failed to yield and made a left turn in front of Powers.
Powers Focus struck the left front of Bewer’s Neon causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Brewer and her passenger Sandra Sanfilippo, 35, of Bridgeton were taken to St. Joseph Hospital West by Lincoln County Ambulance with minor injuries. The report states that Brewer was not wearing a safety device.
Powers’ passengers Haley Powers, 3 and Sheila Powers 29, both of Old Monroe  were also transported to St. Joseph West Hospital by Lincoln County Ambulance. Both suffered moderate injuries.
