County finalist for AmbuBus
Representatives of emergency service providers got together to discuss Lincoln County being a finalist for an AmbuBus grant to be nominated for an AmbuBus Bus Stretcher Conversion Kit to transport multiple patients during a mass casualty event. Residents need to vote between Sept. 3 through Sept. 20 at http://facbook.com/firstlinetech.
Lincoln County was one of 25 finalists to be nominated across the country for an AmbuBus Bus Stretcher Conversion Kit from First Line Technology, a value of $35,000.
The public decides who the worthy organization is by voting on Facebook. Voting begins on Sept. 3 on Facebook at www.facebook.com/firstlinetech and ending on Sept. 20.
Having the resource of an AmbuBus Bus Stretcher Conversion Kit would greatly impact in the transporting of multiple patients during a mass casualty. Lincoln County only has one hospital which will experience a surge with any major disaster and will require an AmbuBus Stretcher Conversion Kit.
The Lincoln County Health Department Emergency Planner, Emma Epplin, works to identify public health issues within the County especially related to county wide emergency planning. The nomination placed Lincoln County Health Department as one of the top 25 organizations worthy of the AmbuBus Stretcher Conversion Kit for all first responder agencies to utilize.
Cooperating agencies include county municipal police departments, the Sheriff’s Office, fire districts, Emergency Management Agency, and Emergency Medical Services is essential to the planning and mitigating hazards.
