State and Federal time for Elsberry local

Kristen Boles, 30, of Elsberry was sentenced to four years state time and then four and half year’s Federal time after being charged with several different felonies.

This would not Boles first run in with the law. In 2010 Boles was charged with passing of a bad check (less than $500) and was sentenced to two years probation. Then In February 2012, she made headlines when she was charged with interference with custody after violating a court order by not returning her eight-year-old daughter to her father in January 2011, which in turn revoked her probation. She did 180 days in County Jail.

Now she will make headlines again as Missouri State Courts have charged her with theft/stealing of any credit card or letter of credit (Class C Felony), fraudulent use of credit/debit device valued of $500 or more ( Class D Felony) and identity theft or attempt value $501-$5,000 (Class C Felony). Boles was charged in 2012 for fraudulent use of credit/debit device value less than $500. However, she was credited for time served. Federal charges are unknown at this time.
