Dane Omohundro (right), Vice President/Commercial Lending Officer for Providence Bank, Elsberry presents Twin Pike Family YMCA Fundraising Committee Member Roberta Simpson-Dolbeare (left) with a $1,500 donation from the bank for the YMCA’s Phase Three Expansion Project to build an indoor aquatics center and walking track at the facility in Louisiana. Providence Bank will be recognized for its donation as a member of the YMCA’s Founders First 500 Club.

“Although we don’t have a physical presence in the Twin Pike area, we have customers in both Pike Co. Missouri and Illinois,” said Omohundro. “We are proud to be able to support the Twin Pike Family YMCA in this project. The indoor aquatics center and walking track will be a great addition to the YMCA facility and will enable the YMCA to further expand the great services it offers to residents in the Twin Pike area.”

Simpson-Dolbeare went on to comment how they are delighted that Providence Bank is supporting this project.

“Their contribution moves us another big step closer to meeting the Mabee challenge grant requirement, which we must achieve by July 10, 2013,” said Simpson-Dolbeare. “As of March 1, 2013, we’re about $200,000 shy of reaching our goal. That’s still a lot of money, but when you consider how far we’ve come on raising the funds for this project, we’re getting close.” Simpson-Dolbeare went on to explain that “By achieving the challenge grant, the Twin Pike Family YMCA will receive $500,000 from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation. The $500,000 grant completes the fundraising for construction of the $3.85 million project.”
